    Description

You are looking at a 1971 GMC C2500 RWD 3/4 Ton long bed pickup truck that shows lots of dedication and attention to detail paid during the care and love of this Classic. A very popular body it is ready for someone who wants to turn the key and go cruise around as these never really go out of style and are just great Trucks!!!
    Exterior:
Clean California Sun-kissed Green with a white roof on the straight steel panels of this truck. Paint is good with a dare I call it "Patina" as the term is thrown around so much... (see pics) you be the judge, a wide shiny stainless trim painted with a black stripe runs the length of the truck on the bottom. Gaps are nicely minded throughout, and the bright new grille up front is looking spiffy. The new bumpers front and back as well are looking great in shiny chrome. Just behind the cab is the very solid 8ft bed with functioning tailgate nice painted sides and tailgate are ready for trips to the hardware store then load the coolers and chairs and head to the car show. New 16"8 lug Centerline truck aluminium wheels are on all 4 corners and all wrapped with New Yokohama P255/70R/16 tires.
    Interior:
A swing of the doors and we see black pleated vinyl panels and arm rest. On its edge are green painted metal sills and window frame surrounds. Inside your eyes are bowled over by the rebuilt bench with green and black tweed cloth inserts in this wonderful tuck :note the custom console and cup holder is removable. Also, the steering wheel is a later model 3 spoke style mounted atop the automatic steering column. This fronts a restored dash with a green steel face with a textured black bezel for the all new round gauges, which even includes a Summit tachometer. The dash continues across and in the center is a modern AM/FM stereo with Factory Air heater and AC controls and vents vents :note A/c not functioning Pump was removed for performance increases. Up top, is a black vinyl padded topper that is free of cracks. Down low is a new black carpet and covering the roof is a heavily padded black vinyl headliner insert floating in a sea of green steel.
    Drivetrain:
Upfront under the hood is a rebuilt by the previous owner 350ci 4 bolt main V8 in its orange/red painted glory. The engine bay is clean and no rust with supple wiring and hoses. This mill is topped with a
Holley 4-barrel double pumper carburetor atop a aluminium manifold with matching valve covers and has a Fresh Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission mated to the back that shifts smoothly through all gears. A 12-bolt rear axle is on the back and as for the front every thing has been rebuilt with a fresh power steering box, drop springs, and power disc breaks. Looking clean and original under here.
    Undercarriage:
Very clean the frame is stout and structurally sound. Body hangers are rust free as are fender undersides and rockers. No invasive rust anywhere to be seen, and noted the engine shows as very clean on the bottom end. CPP 3" drop suspension springs and fresh bushings provides the smooth truck-like ride, we note power front disc brakes working in conjunction with power rear drums stops on a dime. All new dual exhaust system from the Headman headers to the with Flo style mufflers the stainless tubes snakes its way rearward, ending with dumps just behind the bumper.
    Drive-Ability:
I love the perspective one gets behind the wheel of a Full size 70s pickup truck, this truck fired right up with the twist of the key and off to the Highway I went. On the Highway the truck performed with fantastic power, good bias free braking and superior handling. A smooth ride for a truck as well. All functions were operational during my drive save for the the horn not tooting, and I didn't take the time to test the grip of the knobby rubber by doing any off-roading.
Signs of it previous life as a work truck still shows hear and there with some small chips and dents... that said it shows "Very Well" Overall just a solid old truck, See pics!!!
In a nut shell, if you love old Chevy and GMC trucks it might be because you have memories from your youth when riding in one of these models. This is not a museum quality truck rather a original truck that has been loved and cared for its whole life with many upgrades and all the recites in a folder to go with it. Its ready for someone to just enjoy as a nice driver or take it to shows not a trailer queen by any means but it's a cool truck. Any and every-time I drive this truck I get nothing but waves, thumbs ups, conversation, I cant come out of a store with out somebody standing there looking in!
This is a California Truck and always has been to the best of my knowledge. CA Commercial Plates. It is a good driver with clear CA title in my name and in hand. Visible Vin and Body Tags. Drive as is or restore it, must see to appreciate!!!
