GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this highly original "square body" pick up for consideration. This 1984 GMC 1500 pick up spent much of its life in California and Texas. It is powered by GM's bullet proof small block 5.0 liter V8 engine, 4 speed automatic transmission and rear wheel drive. It is presented in its original factory color combination, Frost White over Blue cloth interior. Highlights include: Power Steering, power brakes, Sierra equipment, factory air conditioning, bench seat, dual fuel tanks, gauge package, clock, AM/FM cassette etc.
The truck appears to retain its original body panels still retaining excellent fit and straight lines. Much of the paint appears to be original and / or quite old. Of course, it shows a few bumps and bruised, but overall extremely solid and very straight. The interior also appears to be mostly original. The bench seat has been refurbished with correct material and is excellent, the dash pad does have a few cracks therefor a dash protector has been utilized, the gauges and dash fascia are excellent original, the headliner shows some wear and has a tear. The underside of this truck is original, very clean and dry and under the hood is unmolested, original with the engine and engine bay showing very clean and tidy.
Mechanically, it starts, runs, and drives very well; this GMC does what it is supposed to do and will perform its tasks when called upon and the air blows cold.
The square body generation of GM trucks are becoming timeless in design and have a huge following. The truck here is a simple, very usable example that is a great investment as a hobby truck, light duty work horse and / or daily driver.
