6 Medium Knobcone Pine Cone, Knob Cone Pinecone for third eye

These are 6 medium knobcone pine cones. They're about 1  3/4 to 1  7/8 inches diameter at their widest spot. They about 3  3/4 to 4  1/2 inches long. They are  all tightly closed without cracks or holes.
These are unseasoned cones. Sometimes referred to as golden, yellow or fresh. They are a lighter, more honey color inside. Perfect for showing off darker stones or appliques. They are also softer and less brittle than older grey cones, making them better for beginners to cut.
They were sustainably harvested from trees that fell in the last windstorm, on private land in the California Sierra. Knobcones create 100s of cones per tree and hold them their whole lives, waiting for a fire to release the seeds. We only take cones from dying or fallen trees. We never harvest from healthy trees because that would injure them and make them more susceptible to infestation and disease.
These cones are NOT cleaned. They have pine tar residue on them. The cones pictured are the actual cones you will get. The finished cone is an example and not included. Every cone is different.
